Logitech Pilot Wheel Mouse

I have used this mouse during my college time.. I can say this is the only Mouse I used during my college time. It was so famous at that time. Still it is very famous but many of the you know may other high technology mouse are in the market so user has more choices - so every one think and try out many different mouse before purchasing it.

That time I didn't have any choice but now I have!!

I think this is a very basic Logitech mouse in the market. It has many good features. 

This mouse comes with two types of Movement Detection Technology.

• Opto-Mechanical
  
• Optical
  

Interface it supports:

• PS/2
  
• Serial
  
• USB
  

But what I have used is of first type (Opto-Mechanical) of moment detection technology and PS/2 interface and not USB. So here I am going to tell you my experience based on those two things.

 

Durability is Amazing. Very Ruff and Tuff - I had used it my entire college life and still it is present with me and still having no problem at all… Working fine. But the only one reason I don’t like about this mouse. I know you are now curious to know, but will come to this point later.

It's design is good, I never face any problem or never complained about any kind of pain in my hand while using it.. It perfectly fits in my hand.

It comes with three buttons and one scroll button which can be used to scroll pages. Very helpful.

Yes, if you are going to compare its weight with other mouse, it is little heavier than other mouse. I will tell you the main reason - is because of Opto-mechanical technology. In that technology they uses one Ball which helps mouse to detects the position of the mouse pointer. Due to that BALL Weight It is little heavier than other mouse. I am 100% sure - if you are going to purchase same mouse with Optical technology weight will be much lesser then this one.

Also I have used mouse with PS/2  interface (wired).. which is again another reason not to select this mouse. Now I prefer to have mouse with USB Interface.

The main reason - I don't like this mouse is because: already mentioned about the technology it uses, so we need to keep that ball very clean- Not just ball but also the associated rings with it to make it work smooth and fine otherwise you will face lots of disturbances while using it.

Not just Ball but you have to clean your Mouse Pad as well. Very important things I forgot to mention it- If you are planning to purchase mouse with Opto-mechanical technology, you have to purchase high quality mouse pad also.. Because without it you cannot operate/use.  Also you have to  regularly clean all these things!! 

So If you are ready to all these things.. Happily purchase this mouse. You will get long life, Ruff-N-Tuff (ness)!!
