I love my LAPTOP (Dell Latitude D630)

Dell Latitude D630

Now days everybody wants laptop; I am not only talking about elders but children also. I was also very crazy about laptop but due to some financial problem I didn't purchased it for myself. My luck was there so during that period company has given me a laptop. It was my happiest moment of my life… Because without spending single money I got it and also that too with internet connection which is again totally free. :)

That LAPTOP WAS - DELL LATITUDE D630

Let me go through its specification first.. and in later part of my review I will more talk about my experience / opinion.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
  • 2.00 GHz, 1.99 GM of RAM
  • 120 GB of HDD
  • 14.1 inches wide-screen paragraph
  • Wi-Fi Enable
  • Weight of around 2.2 Kg
  • OS: Windows XP Professional loaded
  • NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M (Support & compatible with all major business applications with latest graphics technology)

If we talk about memory- it has Dual Channel DDR2 Shared Memory which basically improves the performance and reduces the power consumption. Also it comes with two extra memory slot.. so we can extend the memory up to 4GB.

I have been using this Laptop from last about 1 year but still I am not seeing any performance issue. It is still running as good as it was 1 year ago.

I have used my friends DELL Latitude D620, there is slight change in keyboard from D620 To D630. If someone is quite familiar or if that person is used to with D620 and if he/she jumps to D630 he/she will face problem while typing.. that is because in D630 each keys are little bigger than D620 so it takes time to settle. Initially it was very difficult for me to type in but now I am quite confortable.

Also one thing I observed - while typing many times my thumb touches to the pad and because of that cursor focus gets change to different location… So to solve this issue better to decrease the sensitivity of the pad.

Keyboard, I found better than D620, smoother!!

Extra buttons - Volume control, power and Volume Mute - are the same as it was in D620 or D610.

Power Backup is of 4.5 hrs which is very good… and enough as well. I remember in Dell D620 it was just for 1.5 Hrs which is very less.

Laptop Comes With: Data Card slot4 USB Ports1 Serial Port1 Display VGA Port1 Video output port1 phone line & the last one is a Very important and useful interface for music lover which is Audio IN/OUT for headphone.

One more SLOT for Laptop LOCK is also present with it, which is very useful feature require when you don't want to carry your laptop and want to keep it at your desk.

OS is XP Professional, and if someone wants to install Vista - GO for it; you will not face any kind of problem. It is totally compatible with Vista. Many are using in my office.

It comes with 3 years of limited warranty & when you talk about price - I am really not sure what is the current actual price but It start from $750 To $1500 depends on your configuration.

I will surely recommend for DELL.. Amazing, good for Home / Office use, steady (many times it fell down from my desk but still working without single problem). Also DELL is one of the best Laptop manufactures company with good Services.

Purchase it, You will like its performance, speed, its ability, graphics, you will enjoy playing high graphics games.

Thanks!
